George Flood

George’s parents, James and Elizabeth Flood, were early pioneers of the Tyabb area, having settled on the property "Oatlands" in the mid 1800’s.

James died in 1900, and Elizabeth in 1913, and are both buried in the Mornington cemetery.

George was born in 1854, and he married Martha Hull in 1881.

They had two sons George, and Percy, but Martha died in 1887, at the age of 27.

George then married Harriet Hull, Martha’s sister, and together, they had three children Cliff, Elsie and Leonard.

Both Cliff and Leonard were to enlist in the 1st World War, but Leonard died in Egypt, from dysentery.
